Journal Entry #27 - The Beginnings, Milestones, and Moments In Between
The past few weeks have been filled with many meaningful milestones across the Foothill Catalog.
We’ve had the opportunity to celebrate with homeowners at groundbreakings, wall signings, rebuild tours, and completed homes. While the overall rebuilding process can sometimes feel overwhelming, these individual moments are important reminders of the progress happening every day.
As one of the homeowners we are working with recently told us: “Just keep moving forward.”
A few highlights we’re reflecting on:
We joined the SVG Habitat team in celebrating Phyllis, who will be moving home soon to Altadena!
Phyllis’ Kitchen. Phyllis chose to feature gold hardware accents and warm tones throughout her beautiful home.
Team FCF with Norma and Nestor who gave us a tour of their Solana as it comes to life. We are looking forward to celebrating their return home very soon too.
Whitney invited her community to a “Best Wishes on the Beams” gathering before drywall goes up. So much love captured in the walls of her home!
Ronald, who broke ground seven months ago is now getting ready to return back home. We love the color combination he chose for the exterior of his Lewis.

Pacific Palisades Design Showcase
Thank you to everyone who joined us for our Pacific Palisades Design Showcase last weekend! Our team enjoyed meeting with many Palisadians, sharing the first collection of designs, and—most importantly—listening to residents’ questions, feedback, and hopes for the rebuilding process.
We’re grateful to the Pali LTRG for partnering with us and hosting this event, and we look forward to continuing to expand the design options available for the Pacific Palisades community.

Historian David Zierler will walk us through how the forces of nature have grown to comprise a critical force of Altadena's sense of place
