Save the Date - Foothill Catalog Demonstration Homes Grand Opening!
Join us on October 24th as we celebrate the completion of our demonstration home projects in Altadena.
Last April, in partnership with the Callahan Family Foundation and Williams Rebuild, we broke ground on two homes and two ADUs with the intention of creating a living learning experience for our community.
The goal was to show what a Foothill Catalog home looks like in real life, yes, but more importantly, to make construction and the rebuilding process feel more approachable and transparent for everyone.
Now, almost exactly six months and four Live Rebuilding Sessions later, we’re proud to say that vision has come to life. Over the course of the summer, we welcomed hundreds of community members to monthly sessions focused on different construction milestones. We hosted homeowners, community groups, nonprofit partners, and elected officials at the federal, state, and local levels, helping keep Los Angeles’ recovery and the needs of survivors at the forefront of these conversations.
To our neighbors, and the Altadena community: Thank you for welcoming this project into the neighborhood and for your patience, support, and curiosity throughout the process.
These homes were intended as places to gather, learn, and see what rebuilding can look like before beginning their next chapter as homes for Altadena families. We’re grateful to everyone who joined us along the way and we’re excited to celebrate this milestone with you soon.
Event Details:
Tour the homes, meet members of the project team and our partners, and celebrate this milestone together with the community.
