Journal Entry #10 - Three. Two. One. Launch!

The Foothill Catalog, Phase 1 is officially available to view, and interested homeowners may begin the consultation process shortly.

The Foothill Catalog is virtual, but maybe someday it can be a book - a nod to the original catalog homes.

Each home in the Catalog includes the bedroom/bathroom count, gross square footage, key features, and a description. The most updated floor plans are also featured. Please note that some minor changes may have occurred to the plans due to plan-check comments and some resulting design iteration. We are currently working on more visualizations including 3D views for each home, so be sure to check back for updates!

A few design related notes:

  • The Nova will be rolling out at a later phase, as some design reworking was necessary after review from the Planning Department.

  • In lieu of The Nova, Phase 1 will include another Mid-Century Modern design with a similar program - The Gregory.

  • The frontage width of The Marlowe and The Billy have been reduced to 25’ to help provide more options for those with 40’ wide lots.

  • The Montana, The Delaware, and The Elderflower may be built as primary residences or ADUs.

While individual garages are not featured yet, we are working on separate submittals for detached garages in 20’x20’, 22’x22’, and 24’x24 sizes. Styles will include Spanish Revival, Craftsman, Ranch, Tudor, and Mid-Century.

Other News…

Check out the newest video in our Behind the Designs - Designer Highlight series: Meet Kiara, the mind behind The Elderflower!

7/31 was National Intern Day! We are happy to highlight our summer interns, Ana Alduenda-Markey, Ryan McCarthy, and Pearl Brandow. They are all architecture students originally from the Altadena/Pasadena area, who reached out specifically looking to apply their skills in support of wildfire recovery this summer. How amazing is that.

We are so grateful for their contributions—and for the energy, insight, and heart they bring to The Foothill Catalog Foundation.

We’re Hiring!

We're looking for a full-time Project Architect and Designer to join our team. If you’re passionate about community-driven work, thrive in a fast-paced, collaborative setting, and have solid Revit skills (plus a great attitude), we’d love to connect.

To learn more and apply, visit our Careers page.

As always - our (virtual) doors are open for questions, comments, and suggestions!

Until Next Time,
